Belas Artes Multicultural Center & Art Gallery

Belas Artes started its operations in November 5th, 2005. Initially opened as a Coffee Shop and Art Gallery it attracted people from places as far as California and Washington DC that heard about Belas Artes and made it one of their destinations while visiting St. Louis.

In 2007 Belas Artes converted its dining area into the current multicultural center. As part of this transition we could better focus our attention and energy on the mission of Belas Artes and started offering its multicultural programs to schools and private organizations.

Recently in October 2007, Belas Artes received its 501c3 status by the IRS. This new status allows us now not only to envision cutting edge cultural pluralism programs, but with the support of public grants, private donations, and contributions make it happen here in the heart of the country, in the heart of St. Louis.
